Projecting Modern Western Gender Roles onto Random Animals

Post by darksidecat on Wed Feb 22, 2012 2:41 pm

Cracked had this projection of cultural gender roles onto animals filled piece up today. http://www.cracked.com/article_19694_7-species-that-got-screwed-over-by-mother-nature.html (trigger warning, there's a lot of rapey stuff in there).

Given that we often have "wolves don't work that way either" discussions with mras, I figured we could have a thread for complaining about such things and for pointing out stuff like:

"This bizarre alpha system makes no sense when applied to wolf behavior."
"Termites most likely lack the neurological capacity to experience "pain" as we would tend to conceive it."
"Do you understand how domestication works?"
